Description:

Discover ways to help the stray cats in a forest town. 

A game created for the thatgamecompany × COREBLAZER game jam 2025 with theme "Generosity". 

Theme:

Born as a spirit in a forest town, your mission, to set balance by helping stray cats while repurposing items you can find scattered in the world. By doing this, the cats lend you their own aura that will unlock new abilities to complete your mission. Starting with the yellow aura, the one you were born with, the one you had during life, you have now received all the colors. You become whole, the color white, the color which is the combination of all the colors and wavelengths. Your mission in passing is now over and you return back home so that your spirit can rest in peace. Passing away allowed you to help other cats in need and provide them with the warmth and love you received in life.

Guide:

1. Each cat needs something specific. You can ask them by pressing H. 
2. The game is sequential. Helping a cat will lead you to help another one next.
3. Things might change in scenes after you leave, so make sure you go back.
4.  Make sure to collect all the notes.
5. You will need a specific item to interact with some of the objects in the scenes. 

Hints:

1. Vines seem to disappear if I burst in the correct color. I wonder what color though.. maybe the color of the flower is an indication? 
2. I wonder where I can find a key for the door... 
3. The clock seems to be missing something.. the small clock hand. I wonder where it is.
4. I don't want to take the fish  before people finish dinner. Is there a way to move time forward? 
5. I should make sure I helped all the cats.

Solutions:

1. Give the bedsheet to the cat with pink eyes. You can find her in the forest, in the first scene.

2. Now you received the pink color, you can burst so that the vines that cover the box near the bin can disappear.

3. Give the new box to the cat that is inside the ruined box. Now you have the orange color. He also gave you a key. You can use this key to open the door. Inside you will find a ladder.

4. You can give the ladder to the cat that is stuck on the tree close to the clock. Now you have the purple color and you can also get the clock hand that the cat was sitting on. 

5. Give the clock hand to the clock. You can burst in the correct sequence so that the time moves forward. You can find which sequence by reading the note on the fridge inside the kitchen. The correct sequence is orange - pink - yellow - purple. 

The sequence restarts if you change scene, or if you burst 4 times. You can see the clock hands moving  and going back if you got the sequence wrong.

6. Now that it is 23:00 and the people finish dinner, you can take the fish leftovers over the kitchen counter. Give the leftovers to the cat that is inside the bin. This cat will give you a toy and the green color.

7. You can give the toy to the kitten that is now in the forest back in the first scene. He wants a toy to play because his mum wants to sleep. Now you get the blue color.

8. Go to the abandoned house that is covered in vines. You can find the correct sequence  in the notes that are scattered in the world. You can find a note: 

• Under the bedsheet
• Behind the box
• Inside the storage room
• On the kitchen counter
• On the tree near the clock

The correct sequence is: Yellow - Purple - Green - Orange - Pink - Blue - Yellow

The sequence restarts if you change scene, or if you burst 7 times. You can see the vines moving if you got the sequence wrong.
